Knowing How to Choose Makes the Difference
Event – 24 November 2018
The Giovanni Sordo Winery is located in the heart of the Barolo Is a renowned family-run estate now in its third generation.
This successful event brought guests closer to finance through the metaphor of wine. Just as a sommelier listens and responds to a client’s tastes and needs, a financial advisor does the same. Like fine wine, an investment requires time to mature to reach its full potential. And just as different blends are created for various occasions in the world of wine, the principle of diversification is equally essential in investment strategy.
The evening continued with a guided tour of the Sordo wine production process—from vinification to the grand Slavonian oak barrels where Barolo is aged—culminating in a visit to the evocative “Infernot,” 12 meters underground.
“Good wine is a symphony of four movements, performed to the rhythm of the seasons. The sun, the soil, the climate, and the vines modulate the work, while the winemaker, as a soloist, gives it his cadence.” — Philippe Margot
