Jazz & Finance
In the evocative setting of Turin’s Medieval Village, on a beautiful summer evening by the River Po, I hosted a special event dedicated to my clients who share a passion for music and jazz.
Together with my friends from the group “Nota Jazz Quartet” https://www.facebook.com/thenightcapjazzquartet/, we paid tribute to the greats of jazz—from Miles Davis to Duke Ellington and more—with iconic pieces such as Caravan, Solar, and Take Five.
Throughout the evening, we retraced the history of jazz and its ties to key economic eras, from the 1929 Crash to Prohibition and the economic boom of the 1960s. We explored fascinating parallels between the “apparent” improvisation of a jazz musician and the mood of financial markets.
The ability to manage emotions and maintain consistent preparation—qualities that define a talented musician—are equally essential traits of a skilled financial advisor.
Our next gathering will further explore the points of convergence between jazz and finance.
